Only hope

There's a song that's inside of my soul
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinite cold
But you sing to me over and over and over again

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope

Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again
When it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again

I give you my destiny
I'm giving you all of me
I want your symphony
Singing in all that I am
At the top of my lungs
I'm giving it back

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope

10 new things

[1] New job?
Attended the interview but didn't make it. They changed their mind on hiring second developer so nobody got the offer. That's what I was told. If that's true then I was being played lah! Never mind. The right job is waiting for me somewhere. Maybe I already have it but don't know it yet. Hmmmm...

[2] New addiction?
Hoobastank. Right after John Mayer

for the past 2 months.

[3] New addition to album collection?
You can hardly call it a collection since I only have 2 or 3 of them...heheh... Yea I'm pretty choosy when it comes to buying a full album. The latest one is The Essential Kenny G.

[3] New app development thingy interest?
Servlets & JSP (does anyone know how to make JBoss work with PHP???).

[4] New crush?
Ken. Haha. Like I have new of these every now and then...

[5] New gadget?
Z2

[6] New profound admiration for someone?
Jaja - coz she simply rocks and is understanding and fearless. For someone who has been through so much, yea you rock on bebeh!

[7] New fear factor?
Not being able to have fun and catch a movie forever! I've missed so much. Been so busy and I've missed all the best movies and now have to save up to stock up on vcd's. Was in Penang and didn't even manage to get to BJ and do blackmarket transactions for this purpose.

[8] New picked-it-up-again routines?
Applying henna (tangan kiri jek + left toe). Stay back late in office.

[9] New vcd acquired?
March of the Penguins...

[10] New wardrobe/footwear/handbags/accessories?
None whatsoever. Sad isn't it?

I could've done better!

Went for an interview yesterday. Although it went okay but it's not great and not as I had expected. Aiyak I can't get it out of my mind. They're looking for someone who's familiar with the open source technology, who posses excellent self-management, who's able to voice out opinions and so on.

I think I've passed the technical questions, though not with flying colors (isk!).... It's the non-technical questions that really holding me down. I knew I had better answers but didn't say it. Why? Why? WHY??!! I want the job so bad I think it's a sin. I have no problems whatsoever voicing out but why didn't I say anything about the big mapping project I was put in charge on? That's a big management point there. Haiya! Intense moments like job interviews make me loose my cool sometimes. Why? Why? Tell me why?! Why cant I answer a simple question like "What do you really want to do in IT?" Of course I want to get my hands dirty on everything on application development. Be it on Windows or Linux platform. Duh! I looked like I didn't have a goal when actually I did. Well I do. If only I got a second chance.

I had so many questions the night before but when they asked me about it yesterday all I could come out was do they provide medical benefits to their employees. How dumb is that? Oh my god. I was genuinely really interested in what they do. I wanted to know what is the technology or architecture behind their service they're providing. How they delegate the tasks to the staff and so on. Haiya! What has gotten into me la. I feel so slow right now. I want that job so bad. I could've done better!

Then again let's just not think about it and concentrate on task at hand. My deadline is coming real close now. Erk! Help!!!!

Update: OK done some damage control. Emailed them a thank you note and said some things to amend things... Anyway, it's done. All I need to do now is follow ups and then let fate decide. Eventhough fingers are crossed, I'm sure if a door closes, another opens. I'll wait for few days and if the response is negative I'm going to continue to look elsewhere.

The dough.
The ingredients
(some of them).
The blank paper.
The coloured paper.
Cheese sprinkling.
Before and
after scenery.

On a much heartwarming note, Mueh made me breakfast before I went to work last Saturday. And he washed my car yesterday. How would you feel if you brother does that for you without you asking for it first? Not that I wanted to ask him to do anything. Seriously. I'm so lucky.

Usually mom would prepare the breakfast every morning for us and pack some for me to take to work. But my parents were not around so I didn't really mind not having breakfast that day. But there it was on the table that morning, some food for my early digestion.

I had planned to wash the car last weekend since the last time it had taken its bath was like a month ago...hehe.... yeah that's one big downside of having a car. You have to constantly wash it. But who was to know, PMS hit me right in the middle of pizza delivery. I couldn't stay standing up anymore after that. After it cool down a little bit, I walked out of the house and saw the car already shining. Of all the sisters in the world, I'm the luckiest of all.

I'm telling you people, that's love, written all over the place. He doesn't have to say it but I know my brother loves me.

See the books I've ordered have arrived. I'm taking the extra step here to advance myself. I don't want to be stuck with one technology all my life. Better do something about it and be happier.

Look at the flower closely. Doesn't it make you feel like there's a lighted candle inside?

p/s: The pics look peculiarly clearer and brighter and sharper this time don't you think? Yeap I got a cam last Fri. Sadly, as much as I would have wanted it, it's not black. It's BORING silver. Nevertheless, hopefully this one will not be stolen like the one before. Now my phone is purely my loyal mp3 player. Woohoo!
