Israelis Blocking Medical Care in Gaza

Sad. I feel so lucky I'm living in Malaysia, regardless of its questionable isu-isu politik.

Word of the month

Shit.

I seem to frequently use that word alot these days. Particularly this month. And it's not getting any better, I'm almost hearing myself swearing every damn day. Why is that?

It's not like I say it out loud, it's only almost like a whisper. But it comes from me regardless. It happens when
a) I forget something important OR
b) I feel uncomfortable with something, whether it's good or bad OR
c) I miss something so obvious I shouldn't be missing it in the first place OR
d) somebody/something distracts me when I'm so busy focusing on something else

Boring tuesday

Turned down a job interview for a well known international company yesterday. The reason? Quoting Mdm. Tan: "What we're doing here is we're helping the country to save money!"

Yea well that's just to make myself feel good about it when actually I'm crying about it now. Not really crying la since I don't think I like working in KL but you when opportunity comes knocking like that, especially when you're not looking in the first place, it's a pity why the best places to work must be in KL. Leceh la traffic jam, not to mention high cost of living. Seriously if the hq is somewhere here or in PJ/Shah Alam I would consider going.

Oh well. Maybe in 1 year time opportunity will come knocking again. Better ones. Till then, look at how "we're helping the country to save money!".

Heads up, all government agencies will be implementing OpenOffice.org on this March 19th. No more Microsoft Office. It will be phased out little by little. Wonder what Microsoft Malaysia will say about this....

UPDATE:
My mistake - they're going to implement OOo in MAMPU only for the time being - MAMPU migrates to OpenOffice.org and ODF to increase freedom of choice and interoperability
And the brand new OSCC Portal.

It's been a while

Lama plak tak update. Anyways, not that I'm lazy to update but it's difficult when you don't have internet connection in your house. Been busy these days so it's kinda risky to update anything from office. My pc screen is in plain view of managers behind me. What an nonstrategic place I'm in! So inconvenient!

But I'm not going to complaint about it. I haven't complained for a while now so felt like I should talk bad about everything. You know, as we say it - release tension. Keje banyak and always chasing deadlines. I'm petrified.

One point to note, I'm eating alot lately. Not that humongous mountainous amount of food, just alot more than usual. What sign would that be?? Maybe I have too much free time for cooking. Maybe I'm just happy.

Heard some of former colleagues in SYABAS are resigning. Well I know how it is there. It's understandable, from my point of view at least. I wonder what took them so long. I mean I quit 2 years ago! I guess change is not easy for everyone to adapt. You going to be in a completely new surrounding and unsure of what's going to happen next. People like to know they're going to get something. We like to hope, hope things will change. But what happens if it doesn't? You're going to get stuck there and be miserable about it when people around you are getting better and moving forward. Do you think they don't have fears? Do you think they are so different from you?
